How does Charity tax relief work ? As a registered charity we can reclaim tax from your donations if you have donated more than €250 to us in one year PAYE only: if you are a PAYE only tax payer we can reclaim the tax paid on your donation from revenue. Self
Accessed or corporate you reclaim the tax paid on your donations. You
or your company can reclaim the tax from revenue. How
much is my donation worth ? If
an Individual on the higher rate of tax i.e. 42% Self Assesed or Company Donation Example 1 Individual
on the standard rate i.e. 20% This
arrangement applies for higher tax rates and company donations. Will my information remain private? Yes, your details are private and are only seen by H.U.D.T. and the Revenue Commissioners. This information will not be used for anything other that tax relief and will not be passed on by us. What if I donate to more than one charity? If you wish to donate to more than one charity, each charity if eligible can reclaim the amount of tax due to them in relation to the donations made to them within the year. If you do not already have a tax relief form, please download it from our website by clicking on the link above. You can download it in word or .pdf format. print it out and fill it in and send it back to us. Alternatively we can fax or post a copy to you if you contact us by phone:at +353 1 8491458 or by email You only need to fill out one form for all your donations made in one year. If you are a self asssessed individual send your donation receipt with your annual tax return form as proof of payment to the Revenue Commisioners. If you are a company treat your donation as a normal business expense, duductible at the appropriate corporation tax. Does H.U.D.T. have a record of my donations?
