Rascani is a poor town in Moldova.

The Catholic Faith was suppressed by Nazis during the war and by communists up until recent times. Since 1991, Catholic Faith once again started to grow, albeit without a church or Parish Priest. In 2002, three Franciscas moved to Rascani. Since then, people have come steadily back to their old faith,uprooted by years of oppression but never lost.

Divine Mercy in Action has been approached by the Bishop of Cosa of Chisnau who requested our support to build a new Divine Mercy Church. We have agreed to help but we need your support for this project. A Catholic Church in town means a Centre of Spiritual Life and salvation for many souls. For the Franciscans it will also help their charitable Works of Mercy.
