Recently
“Divine Mercy in Action” went into Ecuador to help a priest
who had appealed to us directly as Apostles of Divine Mercy to help him
bring God’s mercy to the poor children of his parish.
Fr.Eddie has spent over thirty years working with the poor of Ecuador
and had become so overwhelmed with demands on both his time and his pocket,
that we had no hesitation in answering his appeal. He became aware of
all the work we were doing in Eastern Europe, catering for children with
life threatning problems at the childrens hospital in Bucharest. He appealed
to us to help him build a hospital for children and the very poor who
had neither the money nor the transport to travel great distances for
urgent operations. We have helped Fr. Eddie build this hospital for the
poor of Guayaquil and now we have helped him built a new maternity unit
to add to this. We still have a lot of money to pay to finalise the cost
for this work.
